These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of dammee.com and the Damii game services we provide (the "Service"). By creating an account or playing on dammee.com you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
dammee.com is an online platform for playing Ghanaian Draughts (Damii): live matchmaking, rated and casual games, puzzles, lessons, replays, clubs, and tournaments. Guest play is available for casual games; an account is required for rated play, ratings history, clubs, and tournaments.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account.
- One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, evade sanctions, or gain unfair advantage is prohibited.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Fair play
Competitive integrity is the core of the platform. You agree not to:
- use engines, bots, or other assistance to select moves in rated games;
- deliberately lose, manipulate results, or collude with an opponent ("sandbagging" or match fixing);
- abuse disconnection or timing mechanics to avoid losses;
- interfere with the operation of the Service or access it by automated means except as permitted.
We may annul games, adjust ratings, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts that violate fair-play rules.
4. Community conduct
Chat, clubs, and other social features must be used respectfully. Harassment, hate speech, spam, impersonation, and sharing of others' private information are prohibited. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you post (such as chat messages and club descriptions). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display that content as part of operating the Service. Game moves and results are facts of play and form part of the platform record — finished games may be publicly replayable.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, lesson and puzzle content, is owned by dammee.com or its licensors and protected by applicable law. The rules of Damii itself are, of course, part of shared cultural heritage — our implementation and presentation of them is what these Terms protect.
7. Advertising
Some pages display third-party advertising (including Google AdSense). Advertisers are responsible for their own content. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used and how to opt out of personalisation.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or risk to the Service or other users. Where practical we will give notice and a reason.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that ratings, pairings, or results will always be free of technical faults. To the maximum extent permitted by law, dammee.com is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post updates on this page and revise the date above; material changes will be signposted in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
